Viemar Indústria Automotiva, a 100% Brazilian company, manufacturer of Steering and Suspension components, whose main focus is the quality of its products and consumer safety, informs its customers that, in compliance with the Ordinance 268/13, certified its end products for steering and axial joint.
Viemar products underwent a wide variety of mechanical and chemical tests and, due to the quality already known in the market, they were successful in their first submission, guaranteeing the company to be the first certified manufacturer regarding these product families, receiving authorization from the regulatory body INMETRO to manufacture and market its products throughout the national territory.
Ordinance 268/13 sets out the dates to be met by all links in the replacement chain. The deadline for manufacturers and importers to manufacture and import products outside the requirements defined in the ordinance is November 28, 2014, in addition, it is defined that they have until May 28, 2015 to market products manufactured before the start of the validity of the standard.
To the other sectors of the chain - Distributors, Auto Parts and Applicators - the final deadline for selling their stocks is May 28, 2016. From that date onwards, products can only be sold within the national territory that meet the requirements of the Ordinance and that contain the quality seal authorized and provided by INMETRO.
It is important to note that as of May 29, 2016, the defined deadline, any sale of the aforementioned products, which are not certified, may cause seizure of the product and fines both the merchant and the manufacturer.
