Seeking to circumvent the downturn in vehicle sales in the Brazilian market, Nissan places one of the pillars of its strategy to react to this decline in stores: the New Versa. "Our perspective is that this fiscal year ends with 73 or 74 thousand units sold in Brazil. For the next period, we expect to reach 100 thousand cars sold, and the New Versa participates in this", says the automaker's product manager in the country., Jean-Phillipe Thery.
The Versa will have five versions, two of which will be equipped with the courtly 1.0-liter three-cylinder block, first introduced in the New March."It is important to give our customer alternatives. The new 1.0 engine delivers much more than the previous one, so much so that, nowadays, customers are in doubt between the New March 1.0 and 1.6", says Thery.
The new version of the sedan also gains, in addition to the new entry options, an unprecedented top-of-the-line version called Unique. "Our own customers were responsible for the arrival of the Unique version. In market research, we found that there was a demand that justified a version superior to the SL", explains Thery.
