Ford has just launched the 2017 Fusion line in the country. The model, which hits the market next month, has novelties in its design and new technologies. The look is more sporty and elegant, highlighted by the redesigned chrome front grille. The headlights gained a more elongated profile, with halogen lamps in the SE and SEL versions and Full LED technology in the Titanium, both with daytime running light. The LED taillights have a new design and are joined by a chrome strip. The 18-inch alloy wheels also feature three unique designs. In all, there are four trim versions, all complete with exclusive equipment for safety, drivability and connectivity. Its value starts from BRL 121,500.00 for the flex option, BRL 125,000 for versions with a 248 hp EcoBoost turbo engine, and reaches BRL 154,000 at the top of the line, with a series of semi-autonomous technologies. In the special launch offer there is a financing plan with zero interest, for payment in 12 installments with a down payment of 60%. The new Fusion is the first in its class with an autonomous braking assistant that detects pedestrians. In addition, it has adaptive autopilot with “stop and go”, which, when activated, automatically accelerates and brakes when approaching another vehicle. There is also collision alert with autonomous braking assistance, and the “start and go” system, which turns the car off and on in traffic to save fuel. The SYNC 3 system with an 8-inch screen is also present in the model. It allows, by voice commands, access to the phone, browser, music, air conditioning and applications, in addition to an Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interface for smartphones. The six-speed automatic transmission is activated by the new E-shifter selector on the console in place of the traditional gearshift lever, more elegant and functional. Among the equipment are eight airbags, blind spot monitoring system, lane keeping system, fatigue detection system, inflatable rear seat belts and electronic stability and traction control, which guarantee the five-star safety standard. The line has seven color options: Siberia white, Asturias black, Belize blue, Vermont red, Moscow gray, Dublin silver and Sevilla silver. Fusion is equipped with the 2.0 EcoBoost engine, which increased its power to 248 hp and became 7% more economical. The 2.5 Flex engine, with 175 hp, improved consumption in the same proportion. The six-speed automatic transmission has Paddle Shift in the 2.0 EcoBoost models and, together with the E-shifter rotary selector, adds the “Low” function in the Flex and Sport versions of the EcoBoost.
