General Motors (GM) has just confirmed the arrival of the sixth generation Camaro in Brazil by the end of 2016. Before that, the sports car should be one of the brand's stars at the São Paulo Motor Show, which takes place in November. A limited series of the first 100 units called "Fifty" will be made in honor of the model's 50th anniversary. The series is equipped with the traditional V8 engine, now more powerful with 455 hp, black paintwork with red accents and 20-inch wheels. According to the automaker, the Brazilian version will have exclusive details. The price has not still been published. The sixth generation was introduced in the United States in May 2015 with a completely revamped frame, now made of lighter materials. The Camaro is available outside Brazil for the first time with an unprecedented 275 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that accelerates to 100 km/h in less than 6 seconds, according to GM. It also has the new 3.6 l V6, developing 335 hp. All versions can be paired with a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. The manufacturer did not comment on other engine configurations for Brazil.
